Eve & Ranshaw, a family-run independent department store in the UK, held a rich history of over 240 years of continuous trade until its closure in February 2023. This historic grade II listed store is a significant local landmark, with its story documented in a dedicated book.

PSYTE was the Lead Consultant for the project, transforming this Grade II listed building into multiple tenancies and residences. We began by conducting surveys to identify necessary upgrades, managing the work in coordination with incoming tenants.

Engaging with local council members and stakeholders, we ensured a smooth development process. Collaborating with planning, conservation, and building control representatives, we focused on preserving the building's historic fabric while adapting it for modern use.

Covering approximately 16,000 ft2 over three floors, the building has been converted into multiple retail tenancies for hospitality and fashion retail with provision for the following stage to incorporate apartments. This project revitalises the building, ensuring its continued relevance and vibrancy.
